Communication

Poor communication is a common complaint levelled against recruitment agencies. At Syntax, we pride ourselves on getting the basics right. We will return your phone calls and respond to queries at the earliest possible opportunity. We also provide regular email / phone updates on any ongoing applications the moment we have any new information to share. Common courtesy isn’t too much to ask. You deserve better!

Relevance

We will only contact you with genuine ‘live’ vacancies that are directly relevant to your skills, experience and interests. Unlike many agencies, we won’t waste your time with unsuitable or speculative opportunities.

Ethical Conduct

As long-standing members of APSCo, we are fully committed to following their Code of Conduct, which promotes the highest possible standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity, fairness and ethical behaviour in all dealings with employers and candidates. For example, we will always ask for your permission first, before submitting your CV to an employer.

e-Timesheets

managing your timesheets with Syntax couldn’t be easier. We offer a web-based timesheet portal called InTime. This allows all timesheets, invoices and expenses to be managed online. We also provide step-by-step User Guides for contractors and clients. No paper trails. No scanning. No fuss.

Finance Team

we have a list of Syntax-approved, preferred Umbrella payroll companies. These are trusted providers we have developed strong relationships with. Many have been recommended to us personally by experienced contractors. We have also taken the time to meet with them face-to-face, so we can be confident they will deliver a great service.

Firstly, we identify your specific requirements, motivations and goals, and discuss any career opportunities and job descriptions that meet these criteria.


Submission

We then make a formal job application to an employer on your behalf, after gaining permission to submit your CV and the right to represent you

 

Interviews & Offer Management

Interviews

We prep you fully for your interview and make all the necessary practical arrangements. We then chase feedback and communicate the outcome, including any lessons learned.


Offer Management

We negotiate offer terms on your behalf, including salaries / pay rates and benefits, ensuring the best possible outcome for both parties.

On-Boarding & Support

On-Boarding

We finalise start logistics and ensure all practical arrangements are made in time for your first day (contracts, T&Cs, reference / ID checks, DBS/CRB checks, security clearance etc).


Support

Finally, we provide post-placement advice, support and follow-up to ensure that your new role lives up to your original expectations.

we ask that you are open and honest in your dealings with us. In particular, we ask that your CV is an accurate and full reflection of your true skills, experience and qualifications.

Communication

we ask that you attend any agreed interviews / appointments. We understand that things can change, so if you are unable to attend, we ask that you inform us at the earliest possible opportunity. We won’t be cross. We promise.

Changes

we ask that you keep us informed of any relevant changes to your personal circumstances that could influence your willingness or ability to work, or your level of interest in any vacancies being discussed.

Professionalism

we ask that you treat our staff and clients with the same level of dignity, respect and professionalism you would expect for yourself, and that you honour any agreed commitments.

Patience

please bear with us with respect to feedback and decisions on CV submissions, interviews and offers. It can take time and persistence to make things happen in the recruitment market. We understand delays can be nerve-wracking. We promise to keep you up-to-date with the latest developments as soon as possible.
